What does 'cc' stand for in an email?

"When I open my email, I can see the entry for cc below to, and I would like to know what it means."

cc stands for 'carbon copy' but now, in the modern world it can also stand for 'courtesy copy'. It is a second copy to be sent to people who were either less important or who need a copy for their information rather than any action.

What does bcc stand for in an email?

This stands for blind carbon copy - it is a copy of the email sent to a recipient without the person to whom the email is addressed actually knowing that it has been sent there, as they cannot see.

Very useful for email marketing, as you can send an email to a number of recipients using very basic software without each of them seeing who else has received the same email.

SEO Bus Stop provide SEO consultancy services across the world.
